Sugar Land is arguably one of the finest communities in Texas, if not the country. From its prime position near the major metropolitan city of Houston to its outstanding home choices and beautiful surroundings, Sugar Land has been deemed as one of the most successful examples of superb, suburban living.

The year-round warm weather allows for year-round recreational activities, such as golfing, fishing and water sports. The cultural destinations here are also just as popular, as there are a great variety of museums, as well as a theater and symphony.
The schools are highly rated, and the shopping and dining are unsurpassed.
But it is the year-round, special events that serve as a catalyst to unit the city and encourage residents to come together and simply enjoy one another and the fine community of Sugar Land:
- EGGSTRAVAGANZA – This huge egg hunt, which takes place at Eldridge Park, allows the children of Sugar Land to scramble for treat-filled eggs. Other activities of EGGSTRAVAGANZA include photos with the Easter Bunny, a petting zoo, an obstacle challenge and many other free activities.
- A Concert in the Park – Oyster Creek Park is the place to be throughout the months of April and May. Live bands and cultural performances, including loads of children’s activities, such as face painting, clowns and magicians, entertain the residents of Sugar Land during this free concert series.
- Red, White & BlueFest – Independence Day is never complete without Sugar Land’s Red, White & BlueFest. Water slides, live entertainment and plenty of good food entertain residents as they wait for the fireworks extravaganza.
- Halloween Town – This Halloween event, which takes place in the Sugar Land Town Square, is a partnership between the city of Sugar Land and the Keep Sugar Land Beautiful and Sugar Land Town Square Management Company.
- Christmas Tree Lighting Event – A night of festivities and activities are enjoyed during the Christmas Tree Lighting Event, but it is certainly not complete without the arrival of Santa Claus and the lighting of the city’s Christmas tree.
